Strut the Streets: 12 November 2009
12pm, Martin Place, Sydney
The time has arrived! Strut the Streets 2009 will see hundreds of Australians set the Guinness World Record for the worlds largest swimwear parade. The money raised from the event goes to AIME: The Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience. Today, 1 in 5 Indigenous students who start year 7 finish year 12. AIME is focussed on improving these completion rates and giving Indigenous high school students the chance to have a fair go at University.
It cost $2000 for AIME to support one Indigenous high school student through high school for one year. The closer I can get to this, the longer AIME can help support a kid through school.

AIME - Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience
AIME provides a structured dynamic educational program that connects volunteer university students in a one-to-one mentoring relationship with Indigenous Australian high school students. Your support will help see more Indigenous kids complete school and enter university at the same rate as every Australian child.
